The Do'Bees
Kyle Donovan a noted publisher and entrepreneur has developed the Do'Bees to inspire the minds of children.
Kyle created the Do’Bees after his daughter kept changing her mind about what it was she wanted to be when she grew up. When all was said and done, he let her know that as long as she worked hard and never gave up she could be anything she wanted to be. Soon after the Do’Bees were born. Visit www.thedobees.com for more information and the purchase a book for your child or some you'd like to inspire. ----------------------
The
Boezels are a series of seventeen fuzzy human or
animal-like toys developed by Twan Verdonck. They were initially designed
for mentally challenged people and elderly with Alzheimer’s as sensorial
stimulation therapy (snoezelen) tools to help the learning process and
reduce anxiety. ------------------------------------------ The Designs of Kathy Misick The Art Of Nicola Lopez

THE
SQUEEZE / SPRING 2008
Introducing Santogold (aka Santi White) and producer/songwriter John Hill, aka Johnny Rodeo. They form the nucleus of this new creation. The Santogold landscape is speckled with the flavor of DJ's/Producers and underground fly kids who have rallied behind them to deliver some all around hot shit: The late great Disco D, Switch, Sinden, Freq Nasty, Diplo, Radioclit, leadguitarist Clifford "Moonie" Pusey of Steel Pulse, former Bad Brains drummer, Chuck Treece, Naeem Juwan of Spank Rock, M.I.A, and Trouble Andrew.
Derek Weisberg’s sculptures are inspired by the classical imagery of a time when art was created for the inspiration of the people to connect with the divine. Within the pursuit of artisan craftmanship, Derek’s figures are captured in moments of contemplation, anguish and the search for meaning and comprehension of being human during challenging times. |

THE
SQUEEZE / FEBRUARY 2008 Check out Brooklyn's own MGMT! Dudes are really bringing back the 80's, but that's alright. We can dig it.
THE
SQUEEZE / HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008 While Mr. Boyd is still hard at work keeping his lights on while he adds the finishing touches to his debut album "Godwomanblue: She Made God Sexy", here are some words to live by for those of you hoping to luck upon some "divine" inspiration for your new year's resolution. We are at our very best, and we are happiest, when we are fully engaged in work we enjoy, on the journey toward the goal we've established for ourselves. It gives meaning to our time off and comfort to our sleep. It makes everything else in life so wonderful, so worthwhile. – Earl Nightingale.
THE
SQUEEZE / NOVEMBER 2007 Led by their 27-year-old conductor/ artistic director Alondra de la Parra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas takes to the road for their No Borders tour this November. Their music dances (kinda made me think of those great scores to the old bugs bunny cartoons for a minute, anyway) so much that patrons have been known to dance in the isles. Their repertoire predominately celebrates the rich traditions of concert music from south of the border – particularly Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, and Brazil. Visit www.poamericas.org to find out when they will be in a city near you. While on their site, you can also listen to/ and download a bunch of their performances for FREE.
CATCH OUR GIRL SOMI LIVE IN OCTOBER!!!!
THE
SQUEEZE / SEPTEMBER 2007 Be sure to pick up your copy of Kanye's Graduation this month. It would be a shame to watch 50 Cent dominate that day when we know Kayne has done so much more for the evolution of Black Music in America in the last 5 years just as D'Angelo did 8 years ago. Or just support them both. They are both important artists. Their success marks a moment in pop black music history.
