SUMMER 2010

SOMETIMES I SEE EVERYTHING
BY MR BOYD

SOMETIMES I SEE EVERYTHING. It seems that our impulse to spread information has become greater than our desire to consicously understand what we spread. I only wonder if that aspect is good.
Is the spreading of ideas & content itself now the ends versus the means? Does this unprecedented dissemination rate null our senses to deeper meanings and/or the long term effects of it all. If we lose our ability to create fulfilling meaning for something does that not make us like the other "animals"; Taking in information only through primal instinct? It seems we indeed have the appetite without the necessary stomachs for digestion. Now it may be time we question what it means to be human and to be alive. Enjoy The Ride.- Mr Boyd

We are absolutely loving the bold & daring runway shows of Ziad Ghanem. Who'd imagine that Culture Club would return to the runway spiced up with some Lady Gaga, Sex Pistols & S&M action. It's such a treat:) Okay, now what is that on his head? Amazing

PRISM LONDON
The frames are produced using traditional techniques.
Everything is hand-made and hand-finished. There are no moulds, so each pair of frames is unique. Different coloured blocks of acetate, from an archive that dates back to 1849, from one of the highest-quality Italian producers, are used throughout the line. The frames are carved out of these blocks of acetate and finished by hand at a family-run factory in the North Eastern region of Italy, where glasses-making originated from. The line is also produced in very limited numbers, so owners are one of very few. And even the case that the glasses come in, stands apart from anything else on the market.
